WHAT IS INTERNET?
: internet is a n interconnected network of thousand of network.
: internet carries various information resources and services, such the World Wide Web, electronic mail, online chat, file transfer,sharing and online gaming.
UNIFORM RESOURCE LOCATER (URL)
: represent the global web address of document,including web pages or image files and program such as CGI application or Java Applet.
INTERNET COMPONENTS
: Access>interactdirectly with the internet requires some form of access or connectivity to the internet.
: Chat > IRC(Internet Relay Chat) is used for live disscussion on the internet.
: e-commerce > taking order for product and services in the internet.
: email > exchanging electronis letter , message and small file.
Advantages of the internet
: communication information , entertainment services , e-commerce.
Disadvantages of the internet
: virus threat that can harm your computer.

Topic 1: Computer System
INTRODUCTION
A computer system is the combination of hardware and software. A typical computer system has memory and sets of states that define the relationship between the system'c inputs and outputs.
Computer? Lets see what is it actually. :
A computer is an electronic device, operating under the control pf instruction stored in its own memory, that can accept data, process the data according to specified rules, produce results and store the results for future use.
use to hear about comp. hardware? lets seek more about it .. :)
computer hardware is actually all about its physical part which we can see and even touch.. this is include digital circuitry. major hardware component of a computer system are processor or CPU , memory unit which is main memory and secondary memory. input and output devices also is a major hardware component of a computer.

there are 3 main types of network connection which is :
1) Local Area Network (LAN)
: a network that is confined relatively small area.
: its is generally limited to a geographic are such as writing lab, school, or building.
: its only can connect in certain distance.
2)Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)
: this type of network cover larger are such as cities.
: smaller network interconnected within a large geographic area.
: always used by local libraries and government agencies.
3)Wide Area Network (WAN)
: its connect larger areas such as Singapore, Australia and even the World. dedicated transoceanic cabling or satellite uplinks may be used to connect this type of network.
: WAN can connect school in Malaysia with place like Tokyo and others in a matter of minutes, without paying enormous phone bills.
now , lets see what soo good about network and also what soo baaadd about network.. check it out ! ;)
ADVANTAGES.
: peripherals and hardware can be shared.
: software can be shared
: data can be shared.
DISADVANTAGES
: the cost in cabling and installation may be high.
: a network manager may need to be employed to run the network.
: vulnerable to hackers and viruses.
